CGX Announces Additional Information for Annual & Special Meeting of Shareholders

Toronto, Ontario - CGX Energy Inc. (OYL - TSX-V) wishes to inform shareholders that the Company’s Annual & Special Meeting of Shareholders is scheduled to be held on Thursday, June 25, 2009 at 4 pm at the Toronto Board of Trade, 1 First Canadian Place, Toronto, Ontario (the “Meeting”).  In respect of the Meeting, the Company has provided additional disclosure to its Management Information Circular (the “Circular”) that was mailed to all shareholders of record on May 19, 2009.  An Addendum to the Circular that includes certain disclosure that is required by Form 51-102F6 – Statement of Executive Compensation, but which was inadvertently omitted from the Circular, will be available at the Meeting and in the interim has been filed on the Company’s website - www.cgxenergy.com -- and on the Company’s SEDAR profile which can be accessed at the following internet address –
